Linden track team has strong run at state

The Linden High School track team had a strong showing at last weekend’s state meet.

Sophomore Charles Blackman took silver in the 110-Meter Hurdles with at time of 16.78 seconds. Javarius Goins took bronze in the 400-Meter Dash with a time of 52.89.

The 4×400 Relay team of Roderick Dansby, Tywan Smith, Kevin Green and Goins took silver with a time of 3:38.06.

Christopher Robinson took silver in the High Jump with a jump of 5-10. Goins won gold in the Long Jump with a distance of 21-06.50. Goins also won gold in the Triple Jump with a result of 42-05.75.

Dequan Charleston took bronze in the Triple Jump with a 40.07.75 result.

On the girls side, Tomysha Boykins took gold in the 300-Meter Hurdles with a time of 47.08.

Other competitors for Linden included Rachelle Varner, Tyressa Anthony, Jakaria Miller, Tameria Aldridge, Sierra Johnson, Imiya Agee, Alicia Harris, Devonte Knox, Jaleel Jones, Henry Lee, Darius Jones, Jaleel Evans, Dewayne Charleston and Isiah Scott.
