Linden snags overtime win over Akron

LINDEN — The Patriots (16-1, 5-0) went to overtime before pulling away from area foe Akron with an 83-72 win Tuesday night.

The teams played to a 70-all tie through four quarters before the Linden defense clamped down to hold Akron to just two points in the extra fame. Both of those came from the free throw line.

Imoras Agee led Linden with 28 points and 12 rebounds while Shauka Reese added 26 points. Chris Rogers had 12 points while Kynard Craig had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Quin Jeffery and Jamie Pastuera each led Akron with 18 points while Henry Hunter added 13.

Linden is scheduled to host Sunshine Thursday night.
