Marquis Shelton opened the scoring for the Patriots with a 2-yard touchdown and added his own extra point kick to put Linden up 7-0.

Jamal Lewis then added a 4-yard run before Anthony Robinson broke a 30-yard scoring sprint.

Robinson later hit Jeffery Stacy on a 28-yard touchdown pass before scoring himself on a 37-yard run.

Shelton capped Linden’s scoring with a 2-yard touchdown run.

“I feel like we’ve seen progress from the spring. We’ve got a long way to go. But we’ve made strides and we’ve just got to continue to take steps to get better,” Linden head coach Andro Williams said. “All we can do is continue to get better.”

Williams was pleased with his defense’s play on the night.

“I think they had one first down in the first half and we had 10 men on the field when they had the one first down,” Williams said. “I thought they played lights out on defense. We’re still trying to find people that can hold spots down. We feel like we’re playing a good amount of people on both sides of the ball for the most part.”

Robinson finished the night with 117 yards rushing on eight carries. Shelton added 47 yards on 12 carries.
