Linden has little trouble with Sweet Water

LINDEN — An afternoon tip saw Linden High trounce Sweet Water 58-26 Thursday. The Patriots led 17-7 after one quarter of play and upped it to 35-11 by halftime.

The Bulldogs failed to score double digits in any quarter. Jemar Monroe paced Sweet Water with 12 points.

D.J. Charleston led Linden with 15 points while Savon Parker added 12 in the win.

Linden (3-3) is set to play again Friday at R.C. Hatch before hosting its annual Christmas tournament next Friday and Saturday. The draw will include Demopolis, Linden, Greensboro and Choctaw County.
