Linden downs Billingsley 25-6

LINDEN — Andro Williams’ team turned in a stout defensive effort Friday night, helping Linden to a 25-6 Homecoming win over Class 1A Billingsley.

Justin Jenkins scored on a 24-yard run with 11:16 to play in the second to take a 6-0 lead. Billingsley answered quickly with a 44-yard touchdown run form Derrick Dunnigan to tie the game.

C.J. Robinson punched it in from two yards out with 4:43 left until half. The Isaiah Scott kick gave Linden the 13-6 lead heading into the locker room.

The Patriots got the aerial attack working in the second half, hitting Dequan Charleston for scoring passes of 16 and 78 yards, respectively, to set the score at 25-6.

Charleston paced the Pats with four catches for 117 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Jenkins had 17 carries for 80 yards and a score.

Jaleel Jones had two interceptions to highlight the Linden defensive effort.

Linden (5-2, 4-0) hosts Greene County Thursday night.
