Lady Tigers fall against Clarke County
The slumping Demopolis Lady Tigers (11-5) fell 39-28 at home Thursday night against Clarke County in one of the most frustrating offensive performances of their season.
Demopolis managed only three points in the first quarter on the way to a 22-11 halftime deficit. Despite holding Clarke County to just five points in the third quarter, Demopolis could get no closer than six points before limping to the finish line with a seven-point fourth quarter.
Martina Smith and Jonniece Collins each scored nine points for Demopolis while a trio of players each had six to lead Clarke County.
The Lady Tigers are scheduled to play again Saturday at Central-Tuscaloosa.
