Lady Longhorns win Southern tourney

Marengo Academy’s varsity girls basketball team won the Christmas Tournament held at Southern Academy on Thursday and Saturday, December 5 and 7, 2013. On Thursday the Lady Longhorns won against the Pickens Academy Pirates with a score of 41-14.

Andrea Edmonds was the high scorer with 19 points, followed by her teammates, Brooke Smyly, Conner Etheridge and Rebecca Antonelli each having 6 points.

Saturday, the Lady Horns faced the host team and won 45-11. Chandler Stenz led the team with 14 points and Brooke Smyly had 9.
