Kenneth Anderson

Kenneth Earl Anderson, Sr., 77 passed away in Rice, Texas on August 21, 2014. Kenneth was born in Sweet Water, Alabama on September 23, 1936 to John R. and Phatie Perkins Anderson. He grew up in Sweet Water and attended school there. He served his country proudly for over twenty years in the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam War. He moved to Rice, Texas in 1982. He was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force for twenty years then went to work for Ennis Transportation as a long haul driver. He was a member of the American Legion and First Baptist Church of Rice. He enjoyed working on all kinds of engines including tractors and cars. He is survived by one son, Kenneth Anderson, Jr. of Reno, TX; daughters: Alisia Eaton and husband, Rod of England and Cyndi Cavender and husband, David of Ennis, TX; seven grandchildren: eleven great-grandchildren and three sisters; Nearlie Barr, Edwina Stephens and Ann Callaway. Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time. Burial will be in Aimwell Cemetery in Aimwell, AL. Arrangements by O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville, AL.
