JROTC, Interact, Rotary make sizable donation to food pantry

Sergeant Mike Black and the Demopolis High School JROTC concluded their annual canned food drive Tuesday after a six-week effort in conjunction the Demopolis High School Interact Club, the Demopolis Rotary Club and Jason Windham of Holiday Cleaners and Batter Up Sports Grill.

The JROTC headed up a collection effort that gathered an estimated two tons of food for the Demopolis Food Pantry. Windham and the Rotary Club collected monetary donations that totaled $1,304. That amount will purchase an estimated 7,222 pounds of food.
