Jenkins earns Player of the Week honors

Sweet Water sophomore Eric Jenkins did plenty of damage at St. Luke’s last wee when he scored four touchdowns in three different ways. Jenkins returned a kickoff 81 yards for a score, caught a pass and went 90 yards for a touchdown and punched the ball into the end zone twice on rushing plays. In all, he had 16 carries for 147 yards.

The career game was enough to earn Jenkins ESPN 104.9 Coaches Show and WestAlabamaWatchman.com Player of the Week honors. Jenkins received the honor Tuesday night during the ESPN 104.9 Coaches Show at the Batter Up Sports Grill in Demopolis. Jenkins received a commemorative T-shirt from the crew of the Coaches Show. Sweet Water hosts Mobile Christian Friday night.
