Jefferson Barbecue set for April 20

The Jefferson Community Club will host its annual all-you-can-eat barbecue on Saturday, April 20, at the Jefferson Community Club. Take-out plates and dine-in guests will enjoy Jefferson’s pit-cooked barbecue, homemade potato salad and cakes, bread, and pickles. Plates include three quarters of a pound of meat. All meat is served with sauce. The cost for plates, dining in, or a pound of barbecue is $8.

The Club will begin serving at 11 a.m. and continue until 6 p.m. During this time, guests can also purchase take-out plates or barbecue by the pound. No tickets will be sold, and barbecue is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Nearing its 40th year of hosting an annual springtime barbecue, Jefferson Community Club is one of the oldest and last remaining clubs of its type. The barbecue serves as a fundraiser for the Club’s many community service projects and programs.
