Holemon named AMLC president

Gary HolemonGary Holemon, Executive Vice-President of Robertson Banking Company, has been elected President of the Alabama Multifamily Loan Consortium, Inc. The announcement was made by Bill Tilly, Executive Director and Will Waller, Chairman of the Consortium.

Holemon is a graduate from The University of Alabama with a degree in finance and a concentration in bank administration. He completed the Graduate School of Banking at LSU and The Southeast School of Commercial Lending.

The Alabama Multifamily Loan Consortium based in Montgomery, Alabama is a not-for-profit corporation founded in 1996 and composed of 57 Alabama member banks which have committed to fund real estate development across the State.

The Consortium provides financing for affordable housing, especially for low-and moderate-income families, seniors, and the disabled.

The Consortium and Alabama’s banks have a successful track record of pooling private capital and public tax incentives to address the critical shortage of affordable housing, stated Bob Strickland, AMLC Board Member.
