Extension offers workshop on trees, trucks and powerlines

On June 18 from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., the Alabama Cooperative Extension System will offer a workshop on Trees, Trucks, and Powerlines: A Guide to Safe Tree Care Above and on the Street at the Thomasville Civic Center, 559 West Front Street North, Thomasville. The class will be taught by Jack Rowe of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.

The workshop will focus on electrical hazard awareness when working in and around trees; safe work practices using aerial lifts; basic tree pruning practices for health and safety; and chainsaw maintenance and safe operation. There is a registration fee of $15 payable at the door. Lunch is included.
