Emma Belle Nichols

Emma Belle Nichols age 85 a homemaker of Thomasville, AL, died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. She was born July 28, 1927 in Bashi, AL. Mrs. Nichols lived to be a wife and mother. She was a member of the Thomasville Baptist Church were she spent many years volunteering in the children’s programs.

She is survived by daughter, Deana Nichols (Rusty) Swanson of Thomasville, AL; 2 sisters, Fay (Fred) Fendley of Thomasville, AL; Adell Rivers of McIntosh, AL;2 brothers, Benton (Laverne) Rivers of Atlantic Beach, NC; Billy (Sybil) Rivers of Malcolm, AL;3 grandchildren, Stephanie Ruth Pruitt of Thomasville, AL; Michelle Nicole Pruitt (Paul) Glass of Montgomery, AL; Jessica Dawn (Brian Hines) Pruitt of Okayama, Japan.

She was preceded in death by husband, Donald C. Nichols; 2 brothers, Norman Rivers & Ira Rivers; 2 sisters, Evelyn Agee & Jewel Flinn.

Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time with Rev. Paul Glass, Rev. Ty Parten, and Dr. James Best officiating. Burial will be at Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville, AL.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Thomasville Baptist Church, Baptist World Hunger, or The Alabama Baptist Children’s Home.
