Early morning earthquake rattles Greene County

Various news outlets are reporting a 3.8 magnitude earthquake rocked northwest Greene County Thursday morning.

The quake occurred just before 4:30 a.m. Thursday and was originally estimated to be a 4.3 magnitude before that measurement was adjusted to 3.8.

The center of the quake was approximately 11 miles northwest of Eutaw and 31 miles southwest of Tuscaloosa and could be felt in parts of Marengo County.

There have been no reports of property damage thus far.
