DTDs look to community for help with service project
The DTD club, a community service club of high school girls, is looking to the local community for help with their current community service project. The Teacher’s Pet Project aims to collect supplies needed for elementary school teachers to help ensure that their school year gets off to a great start. To donate supplies, the club has 3 drop box locations around Marengo County.
A sample of items that the club is looking for is below:
- hand sanitizer
- wipes
- pens
- pencils
- construction paper
- glue
- dry erase markers
- Kleenex
- crayons
- copy paper
- erasers
- anything else used the the elementary school classroom
The club is collecting items through Aug. 7. To make a donation, drop off your items in one of the drop boxes at RadioShack or Just Hair in Demopolis, or Charley Burl’s in Linden.
