DPD to hold prescription drug take-back

The Demopolis Police Department will hold its Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Saturday, Sept. 27 as part of a nationwide event.

“Do you have a drawer or cabinet of medicines? Are any of them out of date? Now is the time to check because you can safely dispose of the medications,” Demopolis Police Department Chief Tommie Reese said.

The DPD will accept all prescription medications at its mobile command post from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot on U.S. Highway 80.
