DPD officer treated, released after accident

Officer Dion Pritchett Jr. of Demopolis received treatment and was released from Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital Thursday. Pritchett complained of pain in his back and his head after another vehicle collided with the rear end of the patrol car he was driving. The accident occurred Thursday morning on U.S. Highway 80 East.

The other driver traveled to Vaughn Regional Medical Center in Selma. The other driver received treatment for minor injuries and was released.
