DPD makes arrest in firearm incident

ClaytonThe Demopolis Police Department has arrested Rodriquez Keandre Clayton, 21, of Demopolis for Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment and Discharging a Firearm in the City.

Clayton is accused in a July 19 incident at Hilltop Circle in which he reportedly struck a male subject in the head with a handgun and then fired two shots into the air. Clayton then fled the area before being arrested in Tuscaloosa.

He is currently being held in the Marengo County Detention Center on a $150,000 bond and on a cash fine of $1,566.
