DPD arrests man for breaking into police substation

The Demopolis Police Department arrested Antonio Larrenzo Murray, B/M, aged 31, of Columbus, Miss., for Burglary III on Aug. 14.  He was employed by a cleaning crew to do after-hour cleanups at Vowell’s Supermarket when he decided to break into the Demopolis Police Substation located at Vowell’s.

DPD Chief Tommie Reese said Murray entered the police substation through the ceiling.  “It never ceases to amaze him of what people wouldn’t try to do,” Reese said.
