Seventh grade students at DMS are honored to be discovered by Duke University’s Talent Identification Program (TIP).  This Talent Search program identifies academically gifted students in public schools. These students are provided with opportunities to support their continuing development academically.

Duke TIP registers seventh graders who scored in the 95th percentile or higher on the sixth grade Aspire test to take the ACT. This gives these bright students an opportunity to preview a college entrance exam as well as an identification of individual strengths and weaknesses on the exam.

We are proud of these students and know that they each feel the honor which will no doubt prove even further motivation for success.
