DHS cross country nearing end of inaugural season

The Demopolis High School cross country team competed at Helena High School Saturday morning. Baja Fultz placed eighth and Gracie Boykin placed 10th. The boys’ team finished seventh overall. The squad has one more competition in Trussville next weekend to end its first regular season, followed by sectionals in Mobile. “Our team has worked hard all season,” said head coach Deborah Boykin. “We’ve been exposed to the the world of cross country running and will continue forward. Every single runner we have has improved throughout the season. I am so proud of each and every one of them.”
