Demopolis Police Department arrests two more in Santa’s Sleigh Ride operation

Operation “Santa’s Sleigh Ride” initiated by the Demopolis Police Department on December 21, 2015 has added to the sleigh with the arrest of Cedric Wright on Jan. 7.

Wright, of 955 South Front Street, is charged with Distribution of a Controlled Substance (2 Counts) and Assault III.

He was processed and transported to the Marengo County Detention Center to await bond hearing.

The arrest of Wright follows the Dec. 30, 2015 apprehension of Korey Ramono James, 21, who is charged with two counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance and for Possession of Marijuana.

The arrests of Wright and James bring the total number to 14 apprehensions during the ongoing operation.

More arrests are still pending.
