Demopoils 4×100 relay team wins state title

11011118_10154040539134460_6695386824608079559_nThe Demopolis High School girls track team made an impact in the state meet over the weekend. Darnesha Harris took the bronze medal in the 100-Meter Hurdles, turning in a time of 16.68 seconds. Harris also took bronze in the 300-Meter Hurdles with a time of 46.79 seconds.

The Demopolis 4×100 Meter Relay Team took gold with a time of 50.03. The team consists of Nykeria Grayer, Ashleigh Ivory, Kel Rainey and Shay Smith.

Samantha Williams took bronze in the Shot Put with a distance of 33-09.

Other competitors from Demopolis included Gracie Boykin, Caitlin Thrash, Keyana Waller, Audrey Boykin and Mary-Michael Bradley.

Running on the boys side for Demopolis were Daitron Fultz, Seth Latham, Johnny Carter and Trey Haskins.

The team takes it coaching from Drew Luker and Rodney Rowser.
