Charges mount in hit-and-run case

nicholas etheredgeThe Demopolis Police Department announced Thursday that charges against Nicholas Etheredge have been upgraded in relation to a hit-and-run incident earlier this week. Etheredge, who is alleged to have hit a pair of pedestrians with his vehicle and fled the scene, now faces two counts of Assault First Degree to go along with the original charge of Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Injuries.

Etheredge is currently in the Marengo County Detention Center under a $200,000 bond.
