Central-Tuscaloosa forfeits include Demopolis game

Central-Tuscaloosa High School has been fined, placed on probation for one year and ordered to forfeit three varsity football games and six junior varsity boys’ basketball games for violating AHSAA eligibility rules.

The school used a transfer student during the season in violation of the Bona Fide Transfer Rule. Central must forfeit all contests its team won in which the student participated. Football forfeits include wins over Paul Bryant, Fairfield and American Christian. Forfeits in JV boys’ basketball were to Holt, McAdory (2), Brookwood, Demopolis and Tuscaloosa County.

The probationary period is a warning that other violations of this nature could bring further sanctions against the school.
