Main character George Bailey spends his whole life giving up his own big dreams for the good of Bedford Falls, the town in which he lives. But this Christmas Eve, George is suicidal over the misplacing of a large loan and the practices of the less-than-honorable millionaire, Mr. Potter. Clarence, George’s guardian angel, quite literally falls to Earth and shows him what the life in his town and his family and friends would have been like, had he never been born. George had no idea that he meant so much to so many people; should he really throw it all away?
