BWWMH hosts district auxiliary meeting
Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital Auxiliary played host to auxiliaries from all of District III on Monday, Feb. 12.
Eight of the 11 auxiliaries in the district were represented. Some 50 auxilians from as far away as Opelika and Mobile attended the meeting.
Diabetes prevention and treatment is the state project for the year, and Regina Knox, director of West Central Alabama Area Health Education Center (AHEC), spoke on the need to diagnose pre-diabetes early and the resources available to those affected by the disease.
