BWWMH Auxiliary accepting scholarship applications

The Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is currently accepting applications for its six annual scholarships.

The Emmett and Carolyn Clinkscales Scholarship is open to any graduating high school senior or above who is actively pursuing or plans to pursue a career in healthcare. Applicants must show proof of residency demonstrating that they reside in the Tombigbee Healthcare Authority service area, which includes Marengo, Sumter, Hale, Choctaw, Perry, Greene and Clarke Counties.

The Clinkscales Award is a $1,500 one time award.

The Carolyn S. (Betty) McCormick Scholarship is open to any graduating high school senior or above who is actively pursuing or plans to pursue a career in healthcare. The applicant must also be either a child or grandchild of a Tombigbee Healthcare Authority employee. This award is also a $1,500 one time award.

To apply for either scholarship, interested students may obtain an application packet by following the hospital on their Facebook page and downloading a PDF copy of either application from there.

Completed applications must be returned to the Director of Volunteer Services by 3 p.m. on March 2, 2016. Incomplete or late application packets will not be accepted.
