ORIGINAL STORY:

A body described as belonging to a blonde woman in her mid-20s was found by a fisherman near a pond in northern Lauderdale County, Miss., on Tuesday afternoon. The body has not yet been identified.

Lauderdale County Coroner Clayton Cobler said he believes the body has been there since late Friday night or early Saturday morning.

“We could not determine the cause of death. We didn’t see anything but that doesn’t meant that nothing was there,” said Cobler.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.
