Alfred Warren

Alfred Pittman Warren, 85, of Gallion, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 16, 2013, at the University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile. He was born on Jan. 25, 1927, in Memphis Tenn. Warren was a mechanical engineer graduate from Georgia Tech. and retired from NASA in Huntsville in 1978. He was actively involved in the Veterans Organization. He was an avid gun collector and preservationist. He farmed until his passing on Jan. 16, 2013. Services will be held Sunday Jan. 20. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Warren is preceded in death by his sister, Blanche W. Goke of Germantown, Tenn., sister, Ernestine W. Davis of Gallion, daughter-in-law, Donetta B. Warren of Walker, La. Mr. Warren is survived by Sara Bedford Warren, his loving wife and companion of 65 and a half years. He is also survived by his daughter, Ruth (Floyd) Glass of Gallion, his son Michael (Eydie) Warren of Crossville, his son Paul (Kim) Warren of Demopolis, his son Patrick (Donetta) Warren of Walker La., his son, Andrew (Tina) Warren of Arab, his son, Alfred Pittman (Pam) Warren Jr. of Chicopee, Ma. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Wade (Gina) Glass of Madison, Jennnifer (Ken Grice) Glass of Gallion, Jaime (Marty) Chambers of Haleyville, Mark (Amanda) Warren of Huntsville, Nicole (Jonathon) Brown of Tuscaloosa, Christianne Warren of Haleyville, Jacob Warren of Arab, Paul (Christina) Warren Jr. of Demopolis, J. B. (Julie) Warren of Demopolis, Chase (Samantha) Cummings-Warren of Louin, Miss., Cassie Warren of Demopolis, Robert (Aimee) Bailey of Denham Springs, La., Bryan Warren of Walker, La., Brad (Tristan) Warren of Walker, La., Kimberly Nedeau of Tampa, Fla.. He also is survived by his 24 great grandchildren. Pall bearers will be Paul Warren Jr., J.B. Warren, Chase Cummings-Warren, Bryan Warren, Brad Warren, and Mark Warren.
