A.L. “Red” Sims

A, L. “Red” Sims age 83 of Thomasville, AL, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at his home. He was born July 11, 1929 in Sunny South, AL. Mr. Sims was the owner and operator of The Alabama Grill for 25 years and member of the Thomasville United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Airforce veteran and a member of the Oliver Lodge #334 F & AM of Thomasville, AL for 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Madelyn Louise Vick Sims of Thomasville, AL; son, Mark L. (Robin L.) Sims of Thomasville, AL; 4 grandsons, Alex (Crystal) Sims, Jason (Korey) Sims, Drew Sims, and Trey Lowrey all of Thomasville, AL; 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 2:00 pm until the 3:00 pm service time with Rev. George Sedberry officiating. Burial will be at Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville, AL.
