A.L. Johnson suffers 40-26 setback against Ellwood Christian

THOMASTON – A.L. Johnson’s Eagles let a 26-12 lead slip away Friday night before falling to Ellwood Christian 40-26.

The Eagles close out the season this Friday night, hosting Greene County, before going on the road to face Fruitdale in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs.

“We gave another one away,” said ALJ head coach Johnny Ford of Friday night’s loss. “It seems like it’s been like that for the last few games. We played a pretty good game. We were able to contain their quarterback for most of the game.”

The Eagles are now 5-4 and 3-3 in Region 4 play.
