Emett Grey Baugh

Emett Grey Baugh age 96 of Grove Hill, AL died December 31, 2016 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. He was born September 14, 1920 in Greenwood, AL to Tom and Maggie Baugh. He owned his own trucking company and was a member of Thomasville Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Marvie Lene Baugh; two sons, William G. (Barbara) Baugh and Rickey E. Baugh; two daughters, Shirley B. Dixon and Margaret B. (Bobby) Rush; two brothers, Jesse Ray Baugh and Alvin Baugh; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Maggie Baugh; five brothers, I. J. Baugh, William Baugh, Tommy Baugh, Leon Baugh, and Thurman Baugh; three sisters, Ida Mae B. Boyette, Irene B. Baugh, and Pauline Baugh; and one grandchild, Raven Baugh.

Visitation will be held at Thomasville Church of God on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 9:30 am until the 11:00 am service time with Rev. Josh Gill, Rev. Bill Flynn, and Rev. Bobby Rush officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Grove Hill, AL.

Minnie Dukes Williams

Minnie Dukes Williams, 74, of Myrtlewood, Alabama, died December 30, 2016. She was born on February 8, 1942 to the late Milton Ray and Willie Loyal Flecher Dukes. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband E.C. Williams, jr. She leaves behind a daughter Donna Kay Tyler ( Darrel Joe ) of Magnolia; sons Mark Williams and Eddie Ray Williams both of Myrtlewood; brother Gerald Dukes of Montgomery; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Myrtlewood Cemetery. Reverend Steve Walley will be officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel will be directing.

Laura W. Baker

Laura W. Baker, 73, of Gallion, died December 30, 2016, at DCH in Tuscaloosa. She was born January 4, 1943 in Childersburg, Alabama to the late Austin and Carrie W. Logan White. She is preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Baker leaves behind her husband J. D. Baker; son Jeffrey “Jeff ” Baker (Beth); brothers Larry and Austin White; and 5 grandchildren: Lindsay, Stephen, Rebekah, Raymond, and Kenya. Funeral service for Mrs. Laura Baker will be 11:30 Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Fairhaven Baptist Church. She is celebrating her first birthday in Heaven as she will be laid to rest on her birthday, January 4th. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30-11:30. Reverend Scott Stevens will be officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel will be directing. Active pallbearers for the service will be Rickey Ayres, Garrett Baker, Cade Baker, Stephen Baker, Kevin White, Bradley White, Jason White, and Will Ayres. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Hicks of Fulton, AL; son, Robert Hicks of Brent, AL; daughter, Lauren Robinson of Whatley, AL; mother, Celia Mae Hicks of Grove Hill, AL; brother, Charles Hicks of Whatley, AL; sister, Linda Jackson of Jackson, AL; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Tompkins Baptist Church on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm service time with Rev. Benny Harrison officiating. Burial will be at Tompkins Baptist Church Cemetery in Grove Hill, AL.

She was born November 1, 1933, in Decaturville, Tn., to Boss and Maggie Reese Mitchell.

Marie was preceded by her parents; brother, Boss Mitchell Jr.; sister, Nan Stone.

Mrs. Graham is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Graham; daughter, Rubelyn Ann Mays (Robert) of Franklin, Tn.; sons, Randal F. Tanner of Decaturville, Tn., Danny Ray Tanner (Mitzi) of Parsons, Tn. and Thomas E. Graham Jr. (Michelle) of Prosper, Tx.; sisters, Maxine Rushing of St. Louis, Mo., Dorothy Hamm of Parsons, Tn., Mable Ayers of Lexington, Tn. and Maple Ramires of Lexington,Tn.; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016, from Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel with Rev. Billy Boggs officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens.
